Most users of our Solyp 4.0 platform should be just as pleased with the news from Microsoft as we are: Microsoft is expected to provide server space in Germany in the fourth quarter of this year.
The two new data centers in Berlin and Frankfurt will then also provide Microsoft Azure with all its functions, which is the operational basis for our Solyp 4.0 platform. From this point on, German companies will be able to use the new Azure infrastructure.
Microsoft thus ensures that the data – if requested by the customer – is stored exclusively on German servers. This data will not leave Germany. The protection of your data and that of your customers remains the same: they are currently stored in a European cloud based in Amsterdam/Netherlands. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will also continue to be complied with.
According to the company, there will also be certification according to the "Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalogue" (C5) in order to meet the increased compliance requirements of German companies.
